Bachelor in Engineering Sciences (modular)

Our study concept works according to the principle of colleges: The contents of the engineering fields of study are combined in this degree program and aligned with current trends. All students start with the same basics in the first two semesters and then choose two suitable specializations. Foreign languages complete your choice.

1st and 2nd semester:

Start of your studies in the orientation phase. Here you will get a practical and application-oriented insight into the engineering sciences. We will also show you how to organize your studies and where you can get support.

From 1st semester:

You can choose one foreign language (English) voluntarily.

From 3rd semester:

You decide on one of five possible fields of study (Major 1) and a major (Major 2) according to your interests.

From 5th semester:

You now choose your supplementary studies (minor). This allows you to specialize further or to get to know other subject areas.

From the 7th semester:

You complete your studies with your practical and bachelor thesis. You can complete this in cooperation with a company or a research institute at Hof University.

In your engineering Bachelor's program, you will acquire scientific fundamentals and work in an interdisciplinary manner in different subject areas. Depending on your chosen focus, the engineering degree program enables you to work on current topics in the fields of energy transition, electromobility and engineering.

Innovative technical solutions in all fields of study are taught together with leadership skills and the basics of project management.

We teach not only technical, but also economic and ecological engineering concepts of the future. Through a wide selection of Major 1 and Major 2 concentrations, students are able to deepen their studies based on their interests.

Application

Applications are always possible from May for the start in the winter semester.
You can submit your application online via the application portal Primuss. Fill out the online form with your personal information and send it including your certificates directly to Hof University.

You will receive information about admission to the Engineering Sciences program in August at the latest.
