LinkedIn is increasingly used by HR managers to find and attract suitable candidates for their open vacancies. Relatively new is the approach of addressing and retaining potential employees via LinkedIn at a very early stage. But how can I make my profile attractive for employers in this early phase of my career? What is important?

In this workshop, participants will learn how to use LinkedIn to build their own personal brand and to kick-start their own career after or during their time at university.

Learning objectives are:
- Becoming more attractive for employers through an appealing LinkedIn profile
- Standing out from other potential candidates on LinkedIn
- Receive inquiries from potential employers
- Build your own professional brand on LinkedIn and professionalize your profile
- Social branding
- Further develop and deepen LinkedIn knowledge

Do you want to attend a job fair well prepared and make valuable contacts? Are you wondering how to approach employers with confidence and introduce yourself professionally in just a few sentences? Do you want your CV to create a strong first impression at the company booth?
Then this workshop is the right place for you!

The workshop covers the following topics:

  • Preparing effectively for a job fair and defining clear personal goals
  • Approaching companies with confidence and making a positive first impression
  • Your self-introduction at the job fair: structure, content, and examples
  • Your CV as a door opener: structure, content, and layout for the job fair
  • Researching companies, asking the right questions, and following up after the fair

What makes this workshop special: Theory is followed immediately by practical application. You will develop your personal self-introduction for the job fair, review your CV with a job fair focus, and prepare concrete strategies for successful conversations with employers. There will also be sufficient time for individual questions.

Trainer: Julia Barden, psychologist with professional experience in the HR departments of companies such as Deutsche Bahn, Commerzbank and BASF Group.
