Master’s degree program Composite Materials
Prerequisites for admission Prerequisite for access to the master’s degree program Composite Materials is a first degree at a state-recognized institution of higher education in Materials Engineering or Materials Science or an engineering or natural science oriented degree program specializing in Materials Engineering or Materials Science or an equivalent degree.
Further required is an overall grade of at least 2,5 (according to the German grade system) or proof of ranking among the 35% top graduates of the year or, upon application for acceptance of, a study-related special qualification as e.g. studying abroad or professional experience.
Degree program structure
The degree program is offered as a full-time course with a standard course length of three semesters. The first semester serves to convey the basic knowledge whereas in the second semester the acquired knowledge is enhanced and applicated. The master’s thesis is prepared in the third semester.
Applicants holding a first degree with 210 ECTS qualify for a direct entry in the master’s degree program and start in the summer semester.
Applicants with only 180 ECTS start in the winter semester in order to acquire 30 additional ECTS within the corresponding basic bachelor’s degree curriculum of the Hof University of Applied Sciences.
