Program structure – Textile Design (B.A.)
The Textile Design study program is divided into an introductory and an advanced study phase and is comprised of 7 semesters, one of which being a practical semester.
The basic and core stage (semesters 1 - 4) include, for instance, modules on aesthetics, processing technologies for textiles (weave, knit, print), production development, art and perception theory and basics of IT (image editing programs, digital textile systems).
Students can also choose between a variety of elective modules, for example, language courses, market knowledge and presentation skills.
The advanced studies (semesters 5 - 7) contain two theoretical and one practical semester and conclude with the bachelor’s thesis.
In the last academic year students can specialize in either classic textile design or can choose additional modules in fashion design.
