Seit Gründung unserer Hochschule ist die enge Verzahnung zwischen Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft einer unserer größten strategischen Erfolgsfaktoren. Wichtiger Bestandteil ist dabei auch die Unternehmerbörse, die immer Anfang/Mitte Mai stattfindet. Hier werden unsere Bachelor- und Masterstudierende zu aktuellen Angeboten von Praktika, Abschlussarbeitsthemen und Möglichkeiten zum direkten Berufseinstieg von Experten der ausstellenden Unternehmen beraten.

Meet fellow students from Germany, abroad, and the local community of Hof for an evening of fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Enjoy a variety of board games, make new friends, and practice your language skills in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
This event is taking place in our stunden café Zur Auszeit in the city center of Hof from 19:00 to 23:00.
This event is open to all international and German students. Since space is limited, we kindly invite you to come on time. We will have free non alcoholic drinks for the first 30 players (we will give you more details that day).
To help explain the rules of the board games and support the event, we are looking for 8 volunteers (4 international and 4 German students). If you are interested, please register below. After the selection process, you will receive a confirmation email and further information.

Eine Challenge, fünf Tage, 1.000 Möglichkeiten!
Die Ideationweek ist eine einzigartige, fakultätsübergreifende Blockveranstaltung, die den Charakter eines Hackathons oder Innovation Sprints trägt. Innerhalb von fünf intensiven Tagen werden im Team neue, kreative und zukunftsweisende Ideen, Produkte oder Services entwickelt – basierend auf einer realen Problemstellung aus der Praxis.
Die Teilnehmenden lernen die Design-Thinking-Methode kennen, trainieren Kreativitätstechniken zur Entwicklung innovativer Lösungen, tauschen sich mit Experten aus und arbeiten interdisziplinär mit Studierenden verschiedener Fachrichtungen zusammen.
Im Mittelpunkt stehen Teamwork, Kreativität, originelle Ideen und grenzenloses Denken. Es geht darum, den eigenen Horizont zu erweitern, neue Perspektiven zu entdecken und Ideen Realität werden zu lassen. Bist du bereit für die Challenge?
Challenge 2025:
Die Komplexität klimabedingter Herausforderungen stellt Städte und Regionen weltweit vor grundlegende Aufgaben. Extreme Wetterereignisse wie Starkregen, Hitzewellen oder Trockenperioden treten häufiger auf und wirken sich direkt auf Infrastruktur, Gesundheit, Energieversorgung und Lebensqualität aus. Gleichzeitig sind Entscheidungen häufig von Unsicherheiten, Zielkonflikten und Zeitdruck geprägt. Insbesondere urbane Räume sind von diesen Entwicklungen betroffen. Dichte Bebauung, versiegelte Flächen und hohe Bevölkerungsdichten verstärken beispielsweise Hitzeinseln oder erhöhen das Überflutungsrisiko bei Starkregen.
Vor diesem Hintergrund gewinnt Klima-Resilienz an Bedeutung, d.h. die Fähigkeit von Gesellschaften, klimabedingte Störungen zu absorbieren, sich anzupassen und langfristig widerstandsfähiger zu werden. Dabei geht es nicht nur um technische Lösungen, sondern um systemische Ansätze und Ideen, die technologische, ökologische, soziale und wirtschaftliche Perspektiven zusammenführen.
Termin: die Ideationweek findet im Jahr 2026 vom 18.-22.05.2026 statt.
Veranstaltungsort: Einstein1 - Digitales Gründerzentrum am Campus der Hochschule Hof
Zielgruppe: Die Ideationweek wird fakultätsübergreifend für alle Studiengänge angeboten. Ebenso können sich Studierende anderer Universitäten/Hochschulen im Rahmen des Weiterbildungsprogrammes GO! für die Ideationweek bewerben. International students are very welcome. A criterion is that the applicants for this workshop have sufficient knowledge of German to be able to work and communicate confidently in a complex environment.

Prüfungsleistung: Die Prüfungsleistung umfasst die verpflichtende Teilnahme an der Ideationweek, eine Abschlusspräsentation sowie eine Studienarbeit in Form einer Projektdokumentation.
Anrechenbarkeit / ECTS: 3, 5 oder 6 ECTS, siehe Modulhandbuch bzw. FAQ
Bewerbung / Einschreibung: Die Anzahl der TeilnehmerInnen ist begrenzt. Für die Teilnahme ist eine kurze Onlinebewerbung notwendig.

Then you’ve come to the right place! This workshop will cover the following topics:
- Job search strategies in Germany: where to look and how to apply effectively
- Analyzing job descriptions: identifying key requirements and understanding how Applicant Tracking
Systems (ATS) work - Creating a modern CV according to German standards and optimizing it for ATS and recruiters
- Writing a targeted cover letter that clearly shows motivation and job fit
- Optimizing your LinkedIn profile to attract recruiters
In this hands-on workshop, you will work step-by-step on your own application: find a suitable job ad, analyze its requirements, draft a tailored cover letter (in bullet points) and adapt your CV to German standards. By the end, you’ll have a clear picture of what a convincing application in Germany looks like, and a solid start on your own documents.
Trainer: Julia Barden, psychologist with professional experience in the HR departments of companies such as Deutsche Bahn, Commerzbank and BASF Group.
No registration is required. The Career Service will send the Zoom link for the event by email.
Building on our “LIBRARY for beginners – Welcome to the library” event, you will receive the most important information on the following topics:
Library catalog, ebooks, interlibrary loan and an overview of the university library's
range of journals, newspapers and databases.

This presentation is offered in cooperation with DAAD Mexico. Participation is free but previous registration is required.
In the “Business Dinner” workshop, business etiquette is practiced and internalized during a shared three-course meal. Topics include appropriate conversation at the table, small talk, and dining etiquette (e.g., seating arrangements, the role of the host, proper use of glasses, cutlery, and napkins, and how to eat specific dishes).
Trainer: Cindy Seifert, certified etiquette trainer and business etiquette coach, with over 20 years of professional experience in the corporate sector, including leadership responsibilities.
Registration is from May 7th to May 13th via online here. Be aware that we have only 14 slots available.
In case you have been accepted into this workshop, your final registration will be finalized upon payment of a 25 € participation fee (for the three-course meal). The fee will be collected in person at FIT-Project & Career Service office (A 116) on Tuesday, May 19th from 13:00 to 14:00.
