The objective of the master study program "Human Resource Management and Labor Law" is to qualify the students for demanding technical and performance tasks in human resource management of companies, associations and authorities. This study program is targeted at graduates of legal and economic study programs.
Study Content
This study program is interdisciplinary and committed to sustainability in working life. Furthermore, it takes into consideration the perspectives of medium-sized and global companies. Its curriculum is in content and scope far beyond the study focus of "human resources" and "labor law" of a legal or business bachelor program: Students acquire advanced knowledge in labor and social law as well as human resource management. In addition, the development of competencies in the areas of compliance, psychology and ethics are also addressed in this study program. The key qualifications of the students are further developed, for example in the areas of communication, conflict management and intercultural management. The integration of theory and practice serves projects and case studies as well as an internship and the master thesis. The syllabus of the master study program is academically sound and practice-oriented imparted by experienced lecturers of science and practice.
Graduation
After successfully completing the master examination, students with a jurisprudential undergraduate degree will be awarded the academic degree "Master of Laws" (LL.M.). Graduates of a first degree in economics are awarded the degree "Master of Arts" (M.A.).
Katharina Zander
"Due to its interdisciplinarity and high degree of practical orientation, the master study program 'Human Resource Management and Labor Law' had a very convincing impact on me from the beginning. The unique combination of Human Resource Management and Labor Law, integrated in a high-level practice-related study program, enables access to first-class career opportunities for graduates of both legal and economic study programs. The students of both areas benefit from reciprocal and mutual exchange in joint module courses."
