Arwed grew up in Freiburg lived and worked in Munich from 2011 to 2022 . From 2016 on he is running an interdisciplinary design studio. His comprehensive approach ranges from concept and design to product management. The experience gained by working for renowned design studios, his active involvement in a carpenters' workshop and his diploma in fashion and industrial design at the University of the Arts in Bremen have shaped the basis of his works. In 2016 one of his designs was awarded with the German Design Award in the category ”Excellent Product Design”. Arwed Guderian is Professor at Hof University, department Münchberg teaching about the overlap between Textile- and Material Design focussing on textile Applications, Products and Sustainability since march 2021. Arwed Guderian's projects and designs have won design awards and have been presented at numerous international trade fairs and in museums. In 2023, Two-Tone Plaid was included in the permanent collection of the international design museum "Die neue Sammlung, Munich".
