My lectures cover some parts of mechanical engineering, like mechanical designe and product develepment and wll as polymer technologies, here especially injection moulding, toolmaking and injection moulding simulation. An other focus lies on additve technologies.
The lectures are starting with the basic knowledge in engineering design (including the use of CAD-Tools like Solid Edge), followed by the methods of product development and additive manufactoring (rapid prototyping). These topics lead to polymer technologies, the use of polymers as a material for new products, the design of tooling and dies, the manufactoring of goods made of polymers.
All this is supported by the use of state-of-the art laboratories and CAE tools. Students may use 3D CAD (Soild Edge, Siemens NX), simulation technologies (included in CAD packages or stand-alone like Cadmould) , injection molding and additive manufactoring devices.
