28 young talents awarded with a Deutschlandstipendium Hof University has now awarded the Deutschlandstipendium ("Germany scholarship") for the tenth time at a ceremony in the Freiheitshalle in Hof. A total of 28 new scholarship holders were selected for the grant period 2021/22 and received their certificates from Prof. Dr. Dietmar Wolff, Vice President Teaching at Hof University. The young students will all receive a grant of 3.600 EUR for at least one year. The funding is usually shared between private companies, foundations and the federal government.

![]() Description The Deutschlandstipendium has been in existence since 2011 and is a nationwide scholarship program for talented students at state and state-recognized universities. Hof University has been a program partner from the very beginning and has already been able to raise around one million EUR in funding for young talents through the scholarship. In addition to companies, associations, foundations and private individuals can also act as sponsors. Some supporters are particularly committed: The Wilo Foundation, for example, provides the private share for ten scholarships each year, while the companies Netzsch and ThügaSmartmetering GmbH do the same for three talents each year. A total of eight sponsors of the Deutschlandstipendium were present at the award ceremony in the Freiheitshalle. New President of the Association of German Textile Experts VDTF e.V. comes from Upper Franconia From now on, Prof. Dr. Michael Rauch from Hof University heads the association of German textile specialists VDTF with country widely over 800 members before. This is the result of the recently held new elections. The scientist heads the Master's program "Sustainable Textiles" at the university's campus Münchberg and is teaching textile finishing process technologies. He is a long-standing member of the board of the VDTF regional group Bavaria-North and treasurer of the International Federation of Associations of Textile Chemists and Colorists IFATCC (www.ifatcc.org).
