The deadline for handing in your thesis theme and your Bachelor or Master thesis can be found under your respective examination regulations (see APO) and your study and examination regulations (SPO).
You can do the exam registration online via the PRIMUSS-Portal.
The final thesis is expected to fulfil certain formatting requirements (such as using the right font size / style, margins and style of citation or a certain structure). You can find a general style guide for your bachelor’s thesis here (only in German).
The maximum duration of writing your thesis is prescribed by the exam regulations of each study program. As a rule, two copies of the final thesis (exceptions may be possible for creative arts topics) must be submitted at the Student Affairs Office, room A 113. In addition, you are required to submit a digital version (on CD) and a one-page abstract of your thesis. Two or more students may be allowed to collaborate on a thesis as long as the individual contribution of each student is made clear. Depending on your study program and the mentoring professor, it may also be possible to write the final thesis in English.
When submitting your thesis, please make sure to include a declaration that the thesis is your own original work.
