|New students from 17 countries
In the last two weeks of September, 70 new international students participated in the orientation weeks at Hof University. The students come from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, China, France, Honduras, India, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Ukraine and the US.
They are enrolled as either exchange students or degree-seeking students in one of Hof University's Master's programs. During the orientation weeks, the students explored the city of Hof as well as recent history in an open-air museum about the German-German border. They also enjoyed a Bavarian breakfast and spent time with students from Hof University's International Team.
Just before the start of each semester, the International Office and the Institute for Continuing Education at Hof University offer a two-week orientation program to acquaint international students with the University and region of Hof. The orientation weeks offer help with enrolment, accommodation, opening bank accounts and obtaining residence permits as well as intensive German courses and a wide-ranging cultural program.
We wish all our students a great start to the new semester!
