Program Structure – Business Informatics (B.Sc.)

The most important points at a glance...

The Business Information Systems program is divided into three stages, followed by an internship. Each stage spans two semesters.

In the fundamental knowledge stage (1st and 2nd semester) students learn the basics of practical Computer Sciences and Business Administration, which can be built upon during the rest of the studies.

In the 3rd and 4th semesters, the core stage offers specific modules, which are characteristic of the study of Business Information Systems.

In the 5th and 6th semesters (specialization stage) students choose their areas of specialization from a catalogue of optional modules and can therefore decide for themselves to focus on specific points in their education.

The 7th semester includes a practical project as well as the final paper. In an ideal situation the final paper and the practical project complement each other to allow students to work on an extensive project using the knowledge acquired throughout their studies.

If all the stages of the study program are completed successfully, Hof University rewards the students with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree.
